CGPSC State Service Exam will be held in two stages Prelims and Mains Exam followed by Interview (छत्तीसगढ राज्य सेवा परीक्षा दो चरणों में होती है, पहले चरण में प्रारंभिक एवं मुख्य परीक्षा लिखित में तथा दूसरे चरण में साक्षात्कार होता है). Candidates who have qualified for Preliminary Exam are eligible for applying to the main exam and next to the Interview (प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण उम्मीदवार मुख्य परीक्षा में सम्मिलित होते हैं तत्पश्चात उत्तीर्ण होने पर साक्षात्कार में सम्मिलित होते हैं). | The combined competitive examination comprises following successive stages (यह संयुक्त प्रतियोगी परीक्षा दो चरणों में संपन्न होती है) : 1. The State Services Preliminary Examination for selection of candidates for Main Examination (मुख्य परीक्षा में सम्मिलित होने प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण होना पडता है) |

Preliminary Examination :–
In the Preliminary Examinations there will be 2 compulsory papers of 02 hours duration each. Both the question papers will hove objective type multiple choice questions. There will be five options of answers for each question out of which one is to be Correct. There will be negative marking for wrong answer. CGPSC Exam ki Taiyari Kaise Kare
- First Question Paper –(General Studies) (Question 100, Marks 200, Duration 2:00 Hours). 02 masks will be awarded for right answer and 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Second Question Paper – (Aptitude Test)(Question 100, Marks 200, Duration 2.00 Hours) 02 marks will be awarded for each right answer and 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. (द्वितीय प्रश्न पत्र- योग्यता परीक्षा अर्हकारी प्रकृति की होगी)
Minimum Qualifying Marks – In each question paper essential qualifying marks for unreserved category will be 33% and 23 % for reserved categories and handicapped candidates.
